Leadership
Set priorities. Make decisions. Deliver results.
The goal isn’t for City Hall to do more. The goal is for City Hall to do what matters most, and do it well.
Our municipal elections shape the future of our community. From roads and infrastructure to housing, recreation, local services, and the decisions made at City Hall, the people we elect will have a direct impact on Pembroke for the next four years.
Regardless of who you support, I encourage everyone to take a few minutes, learn about the candidates, and make your voice heard.
Online voting is open now until October 26 at 8:00 PM.
Don’t leave it until the last minute. Your community, your future, your vote.
PEMBROKE, GET OUT AND VOTE!
Today’s Message
The final year is about making the changes permanent.
Update the 10-year financial and infrastructure plan.
Measure the results of the affordability strategy.
Report publicly on four years of spending, infrastructure, grants, partnerships, development and public-safety outcomes.
Identify the remaining infrastructure gap and establish the next long-term targets.
Most importantly, leave the next Council with a stronger financial position and a clear plan—not a pile of deferred problems.
Year Four: Make Pembroke financially stronger for the decade ahead. Report progress to Residents
Set priorities. Make decisions. Deliver results.
The goal isn’t for City Hall to do more. The goal is for City Hall to do what matters most, and do it well.
Make every municipal dollar work harder.
Before asking residents for more, City Hall should demonstrate that it is getting the greatest possible value from the money residents already provide. Over four years, that means taking deliberate steps to ensure a financially stronger Pembroke.
Make Pembroke’s dollars go further.
Pembroke cannot solve every challenge alone—and it should not try. One of the most important jobs of the Mayor is building relationships.
